Fun Fold Thank You Card
A free, easy-to-use card template designed especially for aged care residents to create a heartfelt thank you card that can be personalised with a special message for their carer. With a simple, accessible card design and plenty of space for creativity, this activity provides a meaningful way for residents to show their appreciation while enjoying a relaxing and purposeful craft experience. Perfect for Aged Care Employee Day, Carers Week, or simply as a thoughtful way to say, “Thank you for caring for me.”
STEP 1
Download and print out the template provided. We recommend printing onto cardboard as this will provide a sturdier base for decorating and constructing your card.
STEP 2
Decorate the template pieces using watercolour. Allow to dry before carefully cutting out each template piece following along the solid black outlines. Supervision is recommended when using scissors.
STEP 3
Valley fold along the grey dotted line of the larger Card Base piece. Mountain fold along the grey line of the Message Insert piece.
STEP 4
Open the Card Base and glue the Top Card Piece onto the base in the space indicated by the grey triangle. Fold the flap of the Card Base back down and glue the Bottom Card Piece on the front, aligning it as shown. Allow to dry.
STEP 5
Open the flap of the card back out and glue the Message Insert piece in place as shown. Align the top left corner to the edge of the inside triangle, approximately 2.5cm from the left point. Allow to dry before folding the card and Message Insert flap down.
STEP 6
Use a black Fineliner pen to write your own note on the front of the Message Insert flap before opening it up to write a personalised message inside.
STEP 7
Your Thank You Card is now ready to gift!
