NAIDOC Week 2026 Bunting

NAIDOC Week 2026 Bunting

Celebrate NAIDOC Week this year with our beautiful bunting set, designed by Kerri-Ann Taggart, an Indigenous digital artist from the Wonnarua area.

NAIDOC Week is a celebration of the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by recognising their rich history and culture.

Kerri-Ann explains the inspiration for her artworks:

“These NAIDOC designs celebrate the journeys, stories, and strength of Aboriginal people (through a Wonnarua lens) from the travelling kangaroo to the soaring eagle, and the hills, rivers, and plains. These are what hold our history. Together they show how culture moves with us, how Country guides us, and how our past, present, and future stay connected. As we mark 50 years of NAIDOC, these symbols remind us that our identity is living, growing, and carried forward by everyone who stands proud in culture and community.”

STEP 1

Kerri-Ann has designed the templates with varying levels of detail to be inclusive for all ages and abilities. Download and print as many copies of the templates as needed. Your bunting length will be dependent on how many templates you print. We recommend printing onto cover paper as this provides a sturdy base for decorating and creating your bunting!

STEP 2

Decorate the templates using coloured markers, pencils or paint. Allow to dry if needed.

STEP 3

Use the solid black outline as a guide to carefully cut out each bunting template. Supervision is recommended when using scissors.

STEP 4

Mountain fold along the dotted line at the top of each bunting template. Place a long length of twine underneath the folded paper and glue the tab to the back of the template to secure it to the twine. Repeat this process to attach multiple bunting pieces along the length of twine.

STEP 5

Your NAIDOC Week Bunting is now ready to display!
