Rolling Conversations – Winter
Bring warmth, memories and meaningful conversation to your aged care program with this simple winter-themed dice game. Participants roll two dice, match the numbers to a question on the activity sheet, and share their answers with the group.
The prompts focus on favourite winter traditions, cosy memories, seasonal foods, childhood experiences and cold-weather activities, encouraging reminiscence, storytelling and social connection.
Suitable for individual or group settings, this easy-to-run activity supports communication, cognitive engagement and relationship building.
STEP 1
Download and print the template provided onto A4 cardboard. If you are working with larger groups, you may wish to enlarge the template and print at A3 size instead or print multiple copies so each participant has one. We recommend laminating the activity sheet so it can be easily wiped down and re-used.
STEP 2
Have the participants roll the dice one at a time and match the numbers rolled to the rows and columns on the sheet to find your question.
STEP 3
Get the participant to share their answer with you and/or the group and let the conversations flow.
